Subject: How to remove abandoned vVol volumes from V7000
Hi Folks,
I resolved this issue by logging into V7000 CLI as the IBM Spectrum Connect user (SCB in my case), and then I could remove those volumes by using the command rmvolume.
The restriction is based on a user, so using the correct user is critical to manipulating vVol-related volumes and pools.

Subject: How to remove abandoned vVol volumes from V7000
Hi Folks,
I removed all VMs located on a vVol volume and removed this volume from vCenter.
However, when I try to remove this volume from IBM Spectrum Connect, I receive an error:
Cannot detach resource with volumes from service of type vvol.
I can see with the command lsvdiskcopy that on the V7000, there are more than thousands of abandoned vVol volumes that I don't need.
How to remove them or the pool which keeps them?
I cannot do this from the V7000 GUI as the Delete option is grayed out with info: VVOL Child Pool can only be modified from within Spectrum Control Base (SCB).
I also tried to do this with different commands from the CLI, but I'm getting an error: CMMVC8652E The command failed as a volume is owned and has restricted use.
Thank you.
