  • 1.  How to get the incoming API request sent to z/OS Connect

    Hi IBM Support

    Please assist, we would like to configure z/OS Connect to show the incoming API request sent to z/OS Connect server and the client ID of the user who sent the request. Please provide guidance on how to configure this on the server.xml file.

    Hi Magdeline,

    Using the z/OS Connect SMF 123 records allows you to monitor this information. Our documentation describes how to configure SMF 123 for both Open API 3 and Open API 2, and also the fields within the records, for example SMF123S1_USER_NAME, SMF123S1_USER_NAME_MAPPED, and SMF123S1_CLIENT_IP_ADDR which are likely of use to you.

    Liberty HTTP access logging may also be of interest.
