How to export metadata properties to other formats than CVS?

  • 1.  How to export metadata properties to other formats than CVS?

    Posted Fri May 21, 2021 01:26 PM

    Hi,

I am trying to find-out whether it is possible to export the documents' properties to other file formats than CVS.

Is there a simple way to configure ICN to export the properties from search results or browse view to other file formats (excel, PDF) ?

I know that I could export to CVS and then save it as an excel file. But I am interested if I could do it directly from ICN.

Or, if this functionality can be extended, can you indicate what would be the effort involved?

    Thanks in advance!

    Ana

    Hi,

You may implement a custom action to export the properties to other file formats. Refer to the redbook http://www.redbooks.ibm.com/Redbooks.nsf/RedpieceAbstracts/sg248055.html. Sample plugins are available at https://github.com/ibm-ecm/ibm-content-navigator-samples.
