  • 1.  How to delete Exemples tab from samples

    Hi,

    When importing  "Samples_for_Install_xxx" the Exemples tab is added to the home screen. I would like to delete it, even when i delete all extensions this tab remains.

    How can I know how it is managed? 

    I would like to know how it is created and how it can be deleted, but I can't find any documentation.

    open menu > Manage > Peaple > Accounts > Cognos > Some Role > Properties > Customization > Features > contents > collections > navigator

    uncheck Samples

    and Logout and Login again

    attention.!!!!! only work at [Some Roles] like Analytic Viewer or Powerplay Admin

    Another quick and dirty solution is to move the "Samples" folder to another directory as the tab is tied to the location in root path of Team content.

    Hi,
    Basically, I know how to stop displaying the tab via the customization menu. But I'd like to know how it's installed and how to permanently delete it. Because even when you delete all the extensions, the tab remains.

    Hi,
    my personal guess: it is hard coded built into the system that as soon that there's a "Samples" folder, the tab appears in Team content.

    For me it appeared after integrating the examples package and I already had an "Examples" folder before.
