  • 1.  How to check Column Level Data Security

    Hi 

    Could anyone guide me how can I check which user group having which Column Level Data Security access?
    Same for user level, for example like I would like to know the list of users who is having access for Column A and Column B.
    If anyone know pls advise me how can I check for this. I am using Cognos 10.2.

    If your users only run reports and do not do any development, then you can try the same procedure in the video but inside the Reporting development tool as opposed to Framework Manager.​

    Thanks for asking for help.

    Actually, I am asking this for Audit perspective. Meaning I wanna check which users having the Column A and Column B data access where Column A and B is high security data column which should suppose to expose only selected group/users. So I would like to check whether this kind of data security assign correctly to those specific users. So would be great if you can share with me how can I check for this in one place?

    Hi Hnin,

    Then my previous solution is ok regarding your case.
    To check you can use test user.
    I'm not lot of familiar with Cognos Audit, but not sure you can use Cognos Audit to check which data item are view by user. It's maybe more a database side check.
