  • 1.  How do you boot into the GRUB menu?

    I need to get into the GRUB menu to recover the root password on one of our event processors. I've tried holding the SHIFT key or repeatedly hitting Esc based on Google searches, but haven't had any luck. We are running Red Hat 7.9.

    if you want to recovery root password, you need to prepare RHEL7.9 ISO image. Once boot from ISO, select rescue mode.

    Boot into single user mode via GRUB can not help you without a root password since RHEL7.
