    Also with 7.3.4 numerous E212xxxx alerts are raised for HMC health, eg) E212E161 too many files open for process, or E212E115 process over 1GB vsize. Advice from support so far is just to reboot the HMC.

    Using IBM Director 6.1 to monitor a HMC seems to cause an E212E115 straight away. Also on the same day three of my inactive lpar definitions vanished (lpar ids 1, 2 and 3). The HMC logs do not show where the lpars went, just IBM Director issuing lots of VIO related discovery commands.
