if you want to work with Cognos default functions I'd recommend to use drill-throughs which can be used with data items, text or images from the tool box.
Here's an example with a simple text item. Select it and press the three dots next to "Drill-through definitions" in the Poperties pane. Then add a new drill and select the target report, the run options etc. Finish.
The pro withithis set up is: it will work in different environments if you transfer reports from dev to test to live. An HTML button would have to be adjusted or has to use the servername parameter...

Right, but my difficulty is how to put the path of the report that is inside the folder itself in the URL? Is there a relative path?
(When the project is moved to a public folder in the organization, the path will continue to work)
In this example, within the "Financial Dashboard" report, I want to insert a link for the user to click on and open the "Report - Users Products" report

Navigate to the toolbox in the Insertable Objects pane on the left (the wrench icon at the top).
Within the toolbox, expand the Advanced section.
From there you can drag in either a Hyperlink Button or an HTML Item into your report.

Hello, I have a report and I would like to insert a hyperlink (button or text) for the user to click and open another report in the same project folder.
How to make this link?
(I noticed that in the Dashboard tool there is the option to create a hyperlink and link to a tab or report, but in the Report tool I did not find this facility)
