It's been a long time since I ran CDE, but I seem to remember this kind of problem if I changed the IP address or hostname. CDE was always a bit peculiar about those things. I don't remember the cure, but if you changed the hostname or IP address I would check the man pages (or Google) for the correct procedure to do that operation if you are using CDE.

Actually I didn't change my IP address and hosts name. The only thing happend before is my AIX machine was shut down by accident. It's totally my fault because when I want to plug in aother cord I touched the cord to my AIX machine on the power outlet, so it was shut down. And after reboot, this wrong message appeared.

It made me very upset because every several minutes I have to kill the ttsession processes by hand otherwise it will 'eat' all of my memory.

Please give me a help and thank you very, very much in advance.

That was just the last thing that happened before the problem appeared. The question you need to be asking yourself is could the IP address or hostname have been changed *since the last reboot*? I've accidentally unplugged my server before and not run into this issue (expect messages from diagela telling you your power supply failed though).
I've seen this message before when messing around with the host name and IP address in the hosts file on my test machine using smitty, but only after rebooting it. My suggestion is to double check that hosts file (/etc/hosts) again, making sure there are no duplicate IP address entries with multiple host names or duplicate host name entries with multiple IP addresses. CDE seems to hate that kind of stuff.

After that I'm not sure what to recommend, that hosts file has always been the problem for me.

Yes, I did check the hosts file in etc folder. I compared my hosts file with other similar machines within the same network, the IP address and the local hostname are correct. One thing I don't understand is what's the use of 'loopback'?
