Hi Dereck, we actually do this.
In our Ledger, Internal Orders = projects/Towers/applications. So we created a custom dimension for Internal Orders in Reference Data which you can call "Destination" or something similar. The list of Internal Orders (or Destinations) is maintained outside of the tool and uploaded to CT and then imported to ITP.
We then use the "Labor" tab in "Expenses" where we only use the columns "Internal Order", "Cost Center", "Employee Type" & "Quantity".
When this gets pushed to CT, we now have the number of people working on each projects/Towers/applications per cost center.
FYI, we have a generic fake "PROJECT" Internal Order that actually captures all project Internal Orders so as not to have to update the reference data every time we have a new project.
Any custom dimension regardless of whether you do use Internal Orders for this would do the trick
Hope this helps,
David
