  • 1.  HACMP 5.4.1 AIX 5.3 Installation pre-requisites fails

    1) From where i can get nv6000.base.obj ? I have AIX 5.3 7/2007 version (8 CDs) in my hand, i have searched all the CDs but i did not found. From where i can get this package for AIX 5.3 ?

    2) The HACMP installation complaining about bos.net.nfs.server/client. But i have these two installed.
    bos.net.nfs.client 5.3.0.61
    bos.net.nfs.server 5.3.0.50

    Is this because of the version mismatch ? Do i have to upgrade TL 8 or 9 to get bos.net.nfs.client/server 5.3.7.0 ?

    Your TL is very old anyway, would probably be better to get to a much later TL overall. If you don't intend on using NFS integration with HA 5.4.1 then you can de-select the cluster.es.nfs fileset.

    When you do the install just select cluster.es.server.rte it should pull in the appropriate pre-reqs for a basic install.....I would take a guess that you are selecting filesets from the HA install media that you don't need.

    If you aren't using Netview, don't select cluster.haview and it will not require the nv6000.base.obj fileset.
