I am running a ./configure of a program and it does not find a compiler but it may be more a case I need to tell it where it lives..not sure?

    You may need to set your PATH. I know when I installed mine I had to do that. It wasn't auto-magic.

    So i got both gcc and g++ and all libraries installed and all seemed much better but the make fails and the app vendor (Xpdf) feels the problem maybe some incompatibility with libraries but since they are not AIX people they are not certain. Great. I installed everything marked for AIX 5.3 from linux toolkit for AIX , all 4.xx version, so I realy have no idea where to go from here and how to even troubleshoot this...
    Do you by any chance know where or who I could talk to that may know this stuff??
