Hello I have two 4662-6H2 FS5200 in V9.1.0.1. When trying to create replication policy 2-site, Asynchronous DR

I get the error : CMMVC9805E The command failed because there is insufficient memory available for replication in the specified I/O group on the local system.

Node cansiters memory is 32gb. Can't find requirements.

    Anyone can help ?

In this version I can't find Metro/Global MRR , have they been removed ?

    Thank you

Sorry, here  https://community.ibm.com/community/user/discussion/policy-based-replication I found the anwers already given by Evelyn Perez.

Somebody knows if it is possible to roll back to V8 (the box is still not in production) ?

    Hi,

    >Somebody knows if it is possible to roll back to V8 (the box is still not in production) ?

I think ISV does not support software roll-back.
You need to unconfigure the ISV cluster, once.
And re-install ISV earlier version software (for example 8.7.0.x) manually to the FS5200.
Then, need to setup the ISV system again.  This is initial setup.  All the current configuration are deleted.
These operation will be done through Service assistant interface.
You may consult with your IBM service representative.

    Best regards, Eiichiro

    Hola Pino,

Just to confirm, https://www.ibm.com/docs/en/flashsystem-5x00/9.1.0?topic=so-software-feature-limits confirms you need at least 128GB to enable Policy Based Replication. In my opinion is worth to get the 128GB in RAM per node, the administration with modern replication is many times easier than using MM or GM.

If you want to go to  8.7.0 where Remote Copy is still available, get the code from IBM Fixcentral, destroy your current configuration (so make sure you don't need the data in the FS5200)  to have both nodes in candidate and use the command installsoftware to install it

    Hello,

You can increase the different value of the IO Group,in the system menu Parameters / System / Ressources.

It's not a problem of real memory, just the initial configuration is undersiezd

    No Bruno,
IBM Storage FlashSystem 5200 requires a minimum of 128 GiB memory in each node canister for PBR
