Hello, I'm trying to determine if the FS-C200 can connect to IBM i in native mode and via direct attach. In the SSIC, it's listed under FlashSystem 9500; C200; 7300.

However, I'm still unsure, as it wasn't listed six months ago. Could you please clarify this for me?

I asume when it was not listed six month ago, there was either no test done for providing support for that configuration, or it was simply forgotten to update SSIC with this supported configuration.

SSIC is a "living entity." Situations will arise where the SSIC content is expanded to include new combinations of server OS, storage, storage OS, host attachment protocols, etc.

This occurs either because new operating systems or storage systems become available, or because support for existing storage systems is extended in response to customer requests.

Furthermore, it is common for support not to be available for all combinations of server OS, storage, host attachment protocols, etc., at the time of a new storage system's general availability; instead, support is often added gradually thereafter.

For FlashSystem, you no longer need to include the model name in SSIC, only the code level and protocol are relevant.

With the release of Storage Virtualise 9.1.0.x, some changes have been made to simplify SSIC. All model names have been removed; interoperability is now based on code level and protocol. If needed, a model/protocol/code level matrix is available via the link below:
