    Hi,

    I've a customer who is trying to create new FM model or update existing FM model with Microsoft Azure Analysis Services.

    He is receiving the following errors:
    QE-DEF-0285: The logon failed
    QE-DEF-0325: The logon failed for the following reason:
    RQP-DEF-0068: Unable to connect to at least one database...
    then
    UDA-SQL-432: Unable to locate the gateway "cogudamaz".

    I'm guessing it might a missing "client" installation, but I don't know where to look.

    Hi,

    I have to admit that I haven't worked with MSAS and Cognos for a long time. But Dynamic Query Mode use the OLE DB Provider client software for Microsoft SQL Server Analysis Services to connect to Analysis Services data sources. There are 32bit and 64bit drivers available.

    Maybe in more modern version of MSAS they changed the login but I remember that MSAS used a SQLServer...MSOLAPUser Windows Group (on MSAS server side) where you need to give permissions to the user you use on the Cognos Server where the OLEDB Provider is installed.
