After upgrading our single server installation from 11.1.7 FP2 to IFP6 we receive an error message only in FM, when trying to update an existing Package. FM cannot connect to the data source, even though the Cognos client connect to that data source with no problem. The connection to the data source in Cognos Administrator works as well.
The error message in FM:

Restarting Cognos shows no errors regarding Cryptography.
