After upgrading our single server installation from 11.1.7 FP2 to IFP6 we receive an error message only in FM, when trying to update an existing Package. FM cannot connect to the data source, even though the Cognos client connect to that data source with no problem. The connection to the data source in Cognos Administrator works as well.

Hi Ori,

is your FM installation in a different location than the Cognos server itself? Have you opened the "Cognos Configuration" of your FM installation, tested the config and saved it? During saving the config it checks and generates new enrycption data. I'd also suggest  to check the dispatcher and gateway entries there.

Try loading your framework manager configuration and save it.  I had similar issue and performed this task to resolve the issue.
