Hi, I'm trying to check item bias before factor analysis. I've checked my items for gender bias using independent t-test which was fine. But I want to check for work bias. That is I have a variable with four different work categories and I want to see whether being in any of these categories will affect my ability to answer my survey questions. i.e if there is any item bias. I can't do a t-test because SPSS only lets me define two groups in my factor list. Can I use ANOVA or just look at correlations between question items and work variable?
    Thanks

You can do an n-group F test equivalent to the t test with ONEWAY.
