    Hi Guys,

On PM Options dialog box under Organizations application, there is a setting "Generate WOs Due on the Current Date Plus This Number of Days".

My question is that how does this differ from "Lead Time (Days)" field on PM record.

The field helps of both the fields are about PM lead times and is a bit confusing.

Can I request a detailed explanation and correct interpretation.

Do we need to specify this value, or just the "Lead Time (Days)" field on PM record? and what difference will be applied, if "Generate WOs Due on the Current Date Plus This Number of Days" is not set but "Lead Time (Days)" field on PM record is set... or vice versa

    Thanks in Advance

When populated, Maximo will look into the future for the amount of days you specify, and if the PM is due within that window, Maximo will generate the work order.

The Lead Time field on the PM record does the same, but in addition to the global setting.

    Example:
    - Global Setting:. 7 days
    - Lead Time on PM records: 0

If the job runs today, Maximo will generate a work order for all PMs that are due in the next 7 days.
    - the Target Start Date on the work order will be the date the PM is actually due, which will be any day within the next week
    - the Report Date of all the work orders will be today.

If the Lead Time on a specific PM record is set to 3 days, then Maximo will look an additional 3 days into the future for that PM.  if the PM is due within 3 + 7 = 10 days, then the work order will also be generated.
