STORM is not the bible, the sales manual is. But there we find different information about Adding Expansions
On the one hand, we have the SAS Expansion Cards and the sales manual tells us about this feature
(#ADBA) - SAS Expansion Enclosure Attach Card (Pair)
This feature provides two four port 12 Gb SAS expansion enclosure attachment card. This feature is used to attach expansion enclosures to a FlashSystem control enclosure.
My personal point of view : as long as this card is sold and be an available part of C200 and also eConfig lists Expansions to add to the configuration, it is a valid option. If it makes sence from a performance point of view is another discussion
But within the Limitations area there you can find this sentence
Limitations
Expansions
FlashSystem C200 doesn't support expansion enclosures for scaling, instead offers intelligent and flexible asset utilization through Flash Grid scaling.
I expect IBM not to do much work on the C200, because it is the last surviving FCM4 machine.
