I am getting fol lowing error when I ran report. Please help me if anyone faced same error.

Hi Priyanka,

the error points towards a timeout. Cognos cannot make the connection to the database.

Check network or firewalls that may prevent the connection. Also review the connection details in Cognos, perhaps the connection details needs to be adjusted. Another reason: The database was for any reason not available or under heavy load.

The solution depends on the root cause.
Some are listed in the Technote and may help your DB admin.
If the problem always return this error, the report should be inspected, for example generated SQL, amount of data queried etc.
