  • 1.  Error connecting Databases after restart DMC

    Hi Folks!

    I have configured 123 database connections and 30 connections for allert monitoring. All databases are on V11.1.4.
    All connection tests are succsessfull. After stopping the DMC in the evening and starting it in the morning only 3 database
    connection comes up for monitoring. In the log file I see the following message :

    java.lang.RuntimeException: collect_version:: unexpected dbVersion: Unknown

    So when i go to the connection configuration an say SAVE, the database is able to be monitored.

    any ideas?

    These symptoms (unable to connect after restart, which is fixed if you re-save connection profile) sound like an authentication issue I've encountered.  Are the connection profiles using the same credentials by any chance?

    Hi Luke!

    Thanks for your reply! The credentials ares saved within the connection definition, I think. So when I open the connection definition, I do nothing else as
    save the connection profile without any change on the credentials. After the connection profile is saved, it works.

    By the way, there is another error I get for a few connections:

    The statement failed because the authorization ID does not have the required authorization or privilege to perform the operation. Authorization ID: "BLUUSER". Operation: "CREATE TABLE". Object: "TS4MONITOR".. SQLCODE=-551, SQLSTATE=42501, DRIVER=4.26.14

    The BLUSER ist not known on anyone of our systems.

    But sometimes it works for a shot time.

    There is no activity event monitor defined on DMC. 

    any idea?

    Sorry folks!

    This is the wrong group. The problem Ihave is on the Db2 Data Management Console not on the older Data Server Manager. On DSM this problem do not exist.
