    Current version Cognos 12.03

    Report Studio has replaced Analysis Studio. Using Analysis Studio we could click on the cube title and the information panel would show the date and time the cube was built. I can't find an equivalent with Report Studio. This is very useful for report creators.

    Note: We have an automated process that replaces the old .MDC with the newly created .MDC file. We don't recreate the connection or publish a new package. Even if we did it would help, as neither of those show the true date of the created .MDC

    Any ideas?

    You could try this report expression function... I personally haven't use this, so just giving something to try:

    CubeDataUpdatedOn ( dimension )
    Returns the date time that data in the cube was last updated. "Dimension" specifies from which cube to retrieve the metadata.

    This function does work and produced the correct date and time.
    CubeDataUpdatedOn ( dimension)
    Note: The function below doesn't work
    CubeCreatedOn ( dimension )
    Returns the date and time when the cube was created. "Dimension" specifies from which cube to retrieve the metadata. If the dimension source is an IBM® Cognos® PowerCube (.mdc), the function returns a blank string because the initial creation date of a PowerCube is not maintained.
