DSM Editor-->Select Log Source Type --> Microsoft Windows Security Event Log

After click on Select button got an error “There was a problem loading properties. The server might not be available"

The issue could be about :

1. The qid which are mapped with Microsoft Windows Security Event Log.
2. The LSX ( Log Source Extension ) used if any.
3. Older version of DSM and Protocol.

Can you raise a support case and we will assist you. The logs would help understand what is probable cause of issue.

vladimir.rychkov, he is right, it could be all about older version of DSM and protocol. Our company had some issues almost the same as you have described.
