    Hello,

    The ESS site of IBM is with a problem when downloading an image of IBM i 6.1.1_"J".

    Anybody have an alternative to download a image at least "J" version?

    Dear Joao

    I went to Software Downloads section of IBM ESS web site and selected IBM i 610 English US. Then I saw that I can select the install image of LIC 611-M as shown below.  Level M is higher than level J. So, I see you can use this one. 

    Is this the one you mentioned as having a problem?  If so, what specific problem did you have with it? 

    I see that you have an option to open a service request case  through IBM MySupport web site and ask IBM to rectify this for you.

    Yes, when download from IBM ESS the image came with 16MB, others collegues have the same problem.

    Hi.
    As Satid indicates, it is best to always install the most recent  resave level available in all cases. And of course, afterwards, apply the PTFs since an LIC refresh does not have patches and those existing in SS1 will require their corresponding pre/co requirements from LIC.
     
    There is little point in trying to load the original LIC resave.
     
    To update the resave of the LIC, you can follow the appropriate chapter of the software installation manual or directly the procedure for "Slip install the LIC":

    It's true... What a strange thing. Size is wrong
    I've tried it and the same thing happens to me.
    It must be an error and it will have to be reported.
    Maybe there is an IBM FTP repository...
