Hello,

I'm trying to do the following :
1. export production data .XF
2. mask production data (the file should be created in a different folder and with a different name )
3. delete production .XF file.

If I choose in the extract service :"run convert after extract" this will overwrite the export file with the masked file (with the same name as the extract file). It will not create the masked data in another folder and with the right name.  Funny because it means that the convert job if it's executed immediatly after the extract it will not check the parameters from : "Target File Options" -> "Target File Name".

Is there a way to achieve this?! (the result is to keep the .XF masked data in a different folder and at the end of the convert process to delete the production .XF file )

I don't think Optim has the built-in ability to create a separate converted .xf file and then delete the source extract .xf file upon completion. It has the option of deleting the source .xf if the convert fails, but not if it is successful as far as I can tell. 

Could you instead just point your extract request to create the initial .xf in the desired folder you want the convert file and then do 'run convert after extract"? This would create the .xf file in the correct folder and then convert it. You won't have to deal with two files this way. 

If that is not possible, you could still achieve what you want but would probably need to implement some steps outside of Optim to move/delete unwanted files. All of this could be done in a single batch file, though.
