    IBM has been involved in mobile engagements for a number of years and architecturally, it looks very much like our existing SOA reference architecture where the mobile devices are communicating into an enterprise through an ESB.  That said, there are some mobile unique items based on various technology choices that need to be considered such as push messaging, device management, application management that may be different depending on mobile technology choices.
