It seems DMC is automatically consolidating repo data after 4h, reducing 30 data-points to single one.  (that's too agreessive) 

and maybe at higher ages,  doind another set of consolication as well.  

I remember in old days of the old product , we had options to control this,  but I am not finding anything on DMC console. 

Are these really hardcoded now ?  I can't believe it !  

Or is there any advanced setting, that we can change the behavior by updated parameters directly in the .cfg files.   ? 

My system is setup to collect a data point every 2 min.  but after 4h , I only have 1 data-point  for 15 mim interval. 



I need the real points to be retained for a larger period.  but I can't find where I can make such change. :-(

Thanks for reaching out. This is the current logic in DMC that the older data will be sparse based on the query time range. But this consolidation is dynamically based on query time, especially with the end time.

If you want to view more points in a certain interval, you can customize that time interval, set a Custom time range, such as 07-16 03:00AM - 07-16 07:00AM.
And if you need, it is good to open an RFE in IBM Aha page: https://ibm-data-and-ai.ideas.aha.io/ to track it.

So,  DMC does not performs any data-points consolidation at the repository anymore, as it used do to in previous tools (OPM / DSM) ? 

You mean, that every single data-point collected , are persisted at the repository without being modified/consolidated  until it reaches the time to be deleted by the retention policy ? 

And the consolidation just happens on the fly,  when the graphs/plots are being built , according to the time-frame selected by the end user?  

are these 2 statements true?   please confirm ! 

That seems expensive task to perform this kind of consolidation every time a graph is plotted.
