Hello,
do you have any tips how to solve the issue when "Information distribution" role has been deleted and due this fact some users has lost capability to run a report? Unfortunatelly we don't have the backup of content store. I can't say why some users have access to the report because I can't check the all settings in CA portal. Due to this reason I have tried to create a new role and set the same capabilities as in the case of "Information distribution" role but it doesn't work.

@Lubomir J The following should work:

1. Take a full backup of your existing Cognos content store (This is so you can restore if needed)
2. Delete the custom "Information distribution" role you created​.
3. Create another full Content store backup"
4. Have your DBA create a new content store database
5. Stop your Cognos environment
6. Open Cognos Configuration and point to the new content store created in step 4
7. Start the service and confirm if you see the "Information Distribution" role
8. Import the deployment created in step 3
9. Validate the Information Distribution role is now available


Note* Best to perform these steps on a test/sandbox sever before testing in a Cognos prod environment.

@Lubomir J What does ​" it doesn't work" mean? Maybe you didn't set up capabilities correctly for that role. 
@DENNY NAREZNY  Your approach will not work. He needs to recover from the latest backup before "Information distribution" role got deleted. ​Unfortunately, with this approach any content developed since that backup will be lost.
