  • 1.  DECFLOAT support in COBOL

    Hi!

     Now that DECFLOAT has been released as an indexable field I think it is about time that it got supported by the COBOL compiler! I had an RFE (AHA Idea) but they turned it down saying there was a COBOL Idea.. I have not found that idea...

     Any idea where I can request this???

    Hi Roy,

    IBM Enterprise COBOL for z/OS accepts request for enhancements (RFEs) here. I did a search for DECFLOAT and found that there is already an RFE opened that might be a duplicate of your request:
    RFE 126378 Cobol data type that corresponds to Db2 for z/OS DECFLOAT data type

    126378 is also a duplicate of 89952 Provide ISO 2014COBOL Decimal Floating Point Support. You can vote for these existing RFEs.
