  • 1.  Db2 Performance Issue

    Hi All Expert,

    my customer facing a problem with their Application that connect to Db2. currently they have a slow performance in their application.
     
    Our partner already do some troubleshooting and check if the HADR become the issue, but the result HADR is not the issue (LOG_HADR_WAIT only 0.08ms). and we have try to turn off the HADR but the issue still exist.
     
    And now, the application login responds is almost 300ms. then last thing we do is direct query to DB2 and the result is we get 38ms. we assume there is no Db2 issue here.
     
    but to prove our statement, we need to provide the evidence. Hence, is there any IBM tools that can help us to trace the data flow from application to db? so that we can prove that the issue is not in Db2 but maybe there is something wrong in their network or application.

    my customer was using dynatrace where they measure end-to-end
    in the old days there used  to be OPM enterprise  that could do the same - but this does not exist anymore I presume

    i heard we have IBM Data Server Manager, can we use it to do Db2 data flow monitoring also?

    I do not thinks that dsm can do this
    you need a component installed on client/application server to collect the submit time/return time..
    OPM enterprise used to have this
    or other non-IBM products can maybe do this
