In the old DMC, we did have something similar:

Not sure if this is the same issue.

Questions:

1.) Are you using DIC on the same machine as DMC?

2.) Is this happening for all databases or a specific database?

3.) Can you connect to the database from the DIC machine using: db2 connect to <monitored_database> user <userid> command?

You might want to check the monitor log files to see if there is any error related to connectivity issues.

I'm trying to download and install on a Windows laptop. The process hung with the "Starting the server" message below (I left it running overnight and there was no progress)

I've restarted it this morning and noticed this error, which I didn't see before

it looks as if it is trying to create a log file using a Unix format address.

Any pointers on how to circumvent this?

My %TEMP% environment variable points to C:\Temp

Did you run the setup script using an Administrator CLP or from Windows Explorer, did you "Run as Administrator"?

You might want to check the setup.log file to see if there is any additional error messages.

Hello Mark,

I also forgot to mention, make sure that you are using a supported Windows environment.

As you can see, Windows 10 and Windows 2019 supported by DMC, is not supported by DIC anymore.
