currently we are doing migration from 8.2 to 9.8 in that we need to migrate DB which is SQL to Oracle, which we are very new to this webMethods DB configurator tool so any body could you please explain me how to migrate db using db configurator tool? If any body gives me quick reply it will very helpful to me.

Hi,

migrating database with DB Connfigurator will only be possible within one kind of database, i.e. migration SQL 8.2 to SQL 9.8 or Oracle 8.2 to Oracle 9.8.

Migrating across different kind of databases is not supported.

You might want to get in contact with Sales contact at SAG to get migration support enabled.
They can help you with these considerations.

I think you are changing the DB one platform to another platform , In this case , as per my knowledge better you to follow

• Either first complete webMethods Migration From 8.2 to 9.8 or complete DB migration from SQL to Oracle
• May be you have to contact DBA team to migrating one DB platform to another, SAG will not give much info on this part I believe.
