We are planning to upgrade from wM 8.2 to 9.8. Till now we are using Oracle 11g enterprise edition. Now we want to switch to Oracle 11g Standard edition with 9.8 upgrade.I would like to know whether Oracle 11g standard edition is supported by wM ?
If anyone using the 11g standard edition please let me know your experience like.

What are the main differences between both the editions with respect to wM ?
Any issues faced ?

All products are compatible with the Oracle Standard Edition apart from MFT(ActiveTransfer).

MFT requires “Materialized view rewrites” in Oracle, and this feature is available in “Oracle Enterprise Edition” but not in “Oracle Standard Edition”.

So I guess you could switch to “Oracle Standard Edition” from “Oracle Enterprise Edition” if you are not using MFT.

Apart from the MFT we didn’t face any issue with other products.

Hi,

additionally it might be worth to consider an upgrade from Oracle 11g to Oracle 12c due to EOS/EOL-announcements.

Check with your Oracle Sales or Support contact.

Oracle 12c should be supported meanwhile for 9.5 SP1 onwards, but the limitations mentioned by Abhishek might apply for 12c as well as for 11g.
