Hi All

I see Dataset based queries generated both Native SQL and Native MDX on report. Are they both needed for reporting?  Is there any property to be able to generate only Native SQL?

Hi Buddhi,
The generation of MDX is done for crosstab-like queries, this could be for a crosstab widgets, but also for charts that are part of the report.
For datasets, the MDX is processed by the Cognos Server.
There is no setting that allows you to disable that.

Actually I am using Dataset on prompt queries and still can see both Native SQL and MDX queries.
