Hi everyone,

I have a requirement where I want to create the relative time periods based on a date field in the database rather than as_of_date.  I tried adding a join between the date table and Gregorian calendar DM, but am running into an error. I also tried replacing ​as_of_date with max(date for report) from the table, but still no luck.

Has anyone tried to update the relative time periods using a database value rather than as_of_date function? If so, can you please provide the technique you used?

Hi,

You can set it a run time within the report, use a prompt, if you want to fill it out automatic use a prompt control to fill in the value, also you can set it as a global parameter but at the moment, you can´t use a makro to set it global.

@René Kent Nielsen - Thanks for the suggestions. I did create a global parameter and was able to set the value of that parameter for a role and get the relative dates to work.

I'll also look into setting it up automatically using a prompt control.​​​
