    Hi,

    We are facing an issue with data module and dashboard :

    on production environment, data module is stored in folder A, and dashboard (based on that data module) is stored in folder B.

    on test environment, data module is stored in folder A, there is no folder B.

    when we deploy folder A from test to prod environment, dashboard loose link to data module (because it has new internal ID) and user has to relink the data module.

    with reports there is no issue.

    if we have folder B with dashboard on test environment and deploy folders A and B to prod environment, there is no issue.

    Does someone already face that problem ?

    A workaround could to be select "keep existing ID" on import task, but I think we could have conflicts with this option ?

    Hi,

    The "keep existing ID" is there to circumvent this exact problem. I think you simply should use it.

    In our environment we implemented Motio CI, which is a much more comfortable solution.

    If you grab the ID of the data module in your preprod environment and then then just before importing it into the production environment, search for that ID in your production environment ( using the standard search bar), you should be able to see if there is a conflict. 

    If not,  then import retaining the ID.
