The Internet of Things (IoT) is creating an explosive volume of data as we have never seen before.  More data has been created in the past two years than in all of history and organizations are being challenged with implementing structured data management policies.  Data is not just a transactional element, but is now viewed as a valuable resource and is critical to compliance, regulatory requirements and legal support. The value of the data, therefore, requires organizations to implement a structured data archiving strategy to optimize performance and lower costs.

Can anyone reading this comment on data management strategies your company has implemented?  Have you evaluated what data is valuable vs. data that needs purged?  Are intelligent devices interfaced with applications creating a high volume of data?
