Has anyone ever ran into this issue before? Basically creating a data item and using the expression Definition box (the builder). When clicking on Validate, it will always say no Errors. I can type in gibberish, click validate and still say no errors.
This happens on new reports, old reports. The expression validate is not functioning.

Thanks for the response.
We have added it to the report, went back in to validate and still checks out as no error.

Working with IBM support, they are not able to replicate it on their instance. So something is screwed up on my instance.
They tried multiple versions of 11 and all of them are able to validate correctly from the start and after adding to the report.

I'm so glad I came across this post Jason.  I am using 11.1.6 and have the same problem.  It doesn't validate but when I click OK instead of validate the calculation does in fact work.
