  • 1.  Dashboarding vs Reporting Roadmap

    Hi All,

    I was wondering if anyone knows the roadmap for dashboarding vs reporting?  Is it IBM's goal to put more emphasis and functionality into dashboarding to try and move away from reporting?  The reason I am asking this is because I want to know which way to steer my customer base.  There are some things the customers like with dashboarding, but some functionality like the inability to export a list report on a dashboard to an excel file is a let down for the customer.  I don't want to steer them to reporting if IBM's emphasis is on dashboarding and in near future releases they start adding the functionality that is in reporting into dashboarding.  Thanks.

    There is a new idea, https://ibm-data-and-ai.ideas.aha.io/ideas/IDEAAPP-I-102 which talks about changing the output option for drill through from dashboard.  If you would vote it and it is implemented, it will help with this.
