Dashboard: global filter across multiple sources

    I have a sales dashboard with multiple sources, eg. sales framework manager (FM)-package and data module (DM) real time sales. We are showing today's sale in one tab,and is updated once per minute. On another tab we are displaying sale for different periods, like period to date, fiscal year to date etc.
    Are there any way to create global filter, when we are using multiple sources? Eg.mapping fields between the sources.
    To add complexity, the FM-package is a typical Kimball star model while the real time sales DM is a de-normalized table, with no joins.
