Customer Agreements & Pricing Schedules - Is there anyway to round actual lab hours or pricing? We have Maximo 7.6.0.8. This would normally be to the hour but some of our clients want 15 or 30 minutes.

Maximo 7.6.0.8 offers you a host of different options for achieving that goal. While you could autoscript a solution, and that would offer a transparent change to the user, you have lots of other options. You could use a decimal numeric domain with conditions on the rounding points that only shows the 1/4 hour increments, or etc, as configured by a system property. Or you might be able to have a non-persistent (NP) attribute behind a field on screen and put a formula on the persistent field that manipulates the data from the NP field to be rounded as you please. You have so many options.

 I realize I'm thinking of the capture of hours, but the ideas can be applied in a modified way for outbound.

We are staying away from Auto scripts until we are experts at Configuration. I worry we will just jump to Auto scripts as the solution to everything rather than learning how Maximo could do it. You have given me a some ideas to explore. I have to be careful as Maximo calculates cost and pricing off the hours and I will have to test if that will use the modified hours. Thanks for your time and I will let you know when I have got it working.

That is a good decision, on Autoscripts. When you're holding that hammer, it's amazing how many problems look like nails. There are certainly times when these customizations are the best solution, but most of the time there are configurations that can do the job just as well or better.
