Since the custom global color palettes are not transferable through different environments, I searched for other ways to implement a customized color palette for 11.1 visualisations in Cognos.
By changing the first Color palette (HEX code colors) in the palettes.json file on the Cognos webserver, I have been able to change the default system color palette in 11.1 visualisations. By having the same 'default' color palette on different environments, it is possible to copy reports from one environment to another and keeping the same colors.
Only problem I have encountered is displaying the same colors in a PDF or excel output. In page preview mode and run in HTML, the graph colors are our custom colors. But when running the report in PDF or Excel, the basic Cognos colors come up.
I thought changing the palettes.json files on the application server would solve the problem, but after a restart of Cognos, the custom colors are still not showing in a PDF or Excel output.
Is there another file I need to adjust in order to get the new custom colors from the palettes.json file in my PDF output?
