Power

I hope this is the correct group for this question, so here goes.

I wish to create a new lpar to use to convert sap to hana. 
I believe this is the process to do so:
1). Use sst to remove disk from an asp.
2). On hmc, create lpar with .1 of a processor and some memory stolen from other lpars.
3). Full system Backup of lpar containing sap.  restore backup onto new lpar.

Questions I have are:
1). how do i get an asp created on the new lpar to add the disk that I removed from other asp onto?
2). I am using os400, v7r2, so how do I get this on the new lpar?  Will restore of backup put it on for me?

John, you are in a wrong group. This group is for Power AIX. as you say you are using OS400. There is a power I group.
