How can we pre assign a package to a report template ? Any ideas to set up a template with the package already linked ?

Hi, You can save it as a report (not a template) with read-only permissions for other users/non-administrators.

I agree with Philipp. Create a report and save it as read only copy in a folder accessible to your report authors. You need to make sure only the users who have access to the package have access to this report.

Hi SP,

Ideally, you should add <modelPath> in your report specification. For instance, with Great outdoors data module (from the samples), you would need to have:
<modelPath type="module">/content/folder[@name=&apos;Samples&apos;]/folder[@name=&apos;By feature&apos;]/folder[@name=&apos;Core&apos;]/folder[@name=&apos;Data&apos;]/module[@name=&apos;Great outdoors data module&apos;]</modelPath>
You can save this report in a read-only folder.

It was something easy to do with Cognos BI v10.2.x:
Adding custom report templates for Report Studio - IBM Documentation

I believe there is nothing in the v11.x documentation about this customization.
