    Hello everyone, 

    I am aware this might not be the most suitable place for such a message, but I believe this might be of general interest anyway. Just in case, the moderators might move it to a more appopriate location. My apologies for any inconvenience.

    On MacOS Sonoma SPSS 29.0.1.0 crashes upon launch 100% of the time, making it impossible to use it.

    It might be a compatibility issue, so if you are planning on updating your OS, don't do it until the issue is solved.

    Hello!

     

    Mac OS Sonoma is not a supported platform for SPSS 29.0.1.

     

    From my experience, if the platform is not supported and to program does not launch, save your time and wait for a supported SPSS version.

    Same issue. It is very disappointing as developers had about 6 month to check compatibility of beta version of macOS Sonoma and they did nothing. It shows lack of planning and responsibility. We need support now!

    I have the same problem of SPSS crashing almost immediately after opening the program.  It did open and work fine 3 days ago after I did all the work to find and install the interim fix patch by IBM for use with V29 of SPSS in the new Mac Somoma operating system.  Given that is done and now I have this new problem of SPSS starting for a few seconds and then disappearing (no error messages pop-up), I have no idea what to do.  I need this SPSS program to work.

     I have a user experiencing the same problem the program disapears when doing analysis. 

    Hopefuly this can be resolved urgently.
