  • 1.  Could not validate module: An unknown error has occurred

    Hi all

    In Analytics Data Module we get this message 'Could not validate module: An unknown error has occurred'. When adding a new measure in the module and click save module that message appears. When we close Data Modul we have to 'close without saving' because of that unknown error.
    But when using that Data module as a source for the report/dashboard it works and a newly added measure is shown.

    How can it be identified why validation of module can not be done?

    I suspect that some of the measure is wrong, but without pin-pointing which measure (many measures were created), the module can not be repaired.

    Hi Dario,

    I have the exact problem since 11.1.7. In my case it takes a minute or so to show that error message. Based on my conversation with IBM support they know about it but don't have any idea when they'll fix it or what causes it. The one thing that "fixes" it for a while is to save it as a new module in another location and then save over the old one giving the error. For me the error eventually pops up again.

    I opened the case in January and didn't finally close until mid-April with no resolution. Working with support can be very frustrating at times.

    So I was investigating this and was able to see several internal bugs related to this, some resolved, some unresolved. It looks like it's an ongoing issue and development is definitely aware of it. Unfortunately, nothing is external so don't have any relevant links to share with you but will be updating this case with relevant internal information in case anyone in the future comes across this case from experiencing similar issues. As discussed, I will go ahead and suspend this now, but if you need to, you can still reopen this issue for the next few business days.

    Hello Dario and Jeremy.

    Thanks for the posts. Same issue here with 11.1.7 and with same type of error. I have a PMR open as well but no resolution at the moment. Based on Jeremy's feedback, not much hope for an imminent resolution.
