    Hi,

       Can I know why i get the message MSGSOCK007 - Could not connect to IBMi using my client access although when i ping i get reply?

    Have you done a "Verify Connection" in your system configurations ?

    What is it saying ?

    When was last time you were signed onto it?  Try these two steps if you haven't already.

    Check subsystem QSYSWRK to see if active

    End HTTP and restart it,   ENDTCPSVR SERVER(*HTTP) HTTPSVR(*ADMIN), and then,  STRTCPSVR SERVER(*HTTP) HTTPSVR(*ADMIN)

    Hi

    Did you verify:

    • The ports to connect (SSL and not SSL)
    • Java version (using IBM Semeru helps)

    Last time I saw this error updating java solove it

    Hi Mohd,

    do you use a Mac?
    In case you do you should check System Settings/Security/Local Network - there you should see IBM ACS and can turn it on and off. If it is already turned on you should turn it off, close the settings and turn it on again. Sometimes this happens after Apple Updates or IBM Updates....

    Hi Mohd,

    Why don't you use Access Client Solutions?
    It doesn't cause even half of the issues that the old Client Access used to have.

    This might sound obvious, but is your Telnet server running ?

    Are you trying to connect on a local network or over SSH ?

    Mohd Zam, 

    I would also check your firewall and DLP (XDR) solutions on the client , these might block Java / or unauthroized connections. 

    Software like Sentinel One , Defender etc, might affect the connections aswell there they would allow a simple ping to complete.
