  • 1.  Conversion of comas to dots

    Dear Sir/Madam,
    I am a user of SPSS 29.0. The numbers in the SPSS database have comas as decimal separator. How can I convert comas to dots. Thank you in advance.

    You can control the digitgrouping with SET DIGITGROUPING or the equivalent in Edit > Options.

    The actual digit grouping symbol is defined by the locale, so if you set your locale to german, for example, you get a dot for the grouping symbol and a comma for the decimal.

     SHOW LOCALE displays the current locale setting, which by default is the locale of your operating system.
