I would recommend using vnic failover with those SR-IOV capable cards. Easy virtualization, automatic redundancy and a fast data path. That would preclude using lacp.
With 25g or even 10g connectivity, there is very little benefit in aggregating links. The reality is that very few applications can fill that bandwidth.

We bought a IBM P10 server with two 25GBE Ethernet cards ordered and 2 network switches. We will be using all the ports connected to these switches. I want to know if we plan for LACP, is it still beneficial apart from the redundancy we get if one of the switches fails ? Considering the 25GB throughput we will get here, do you still think it is worth to use LACP in this scenario.
