Hi Paul, We had a similar toshiba to yours that was working fine, stop working permanently from as400 prints only. Windows prints are fine. I am strongly suspicious of a firmware update making our driver selection (aka MFRTYPMDL selection). I recently discovered the ibm recomended MFRTYPMDL but neither helped. Did you get anywhere with your problem? Ta Heath.

BTW, we had a kyocera stop printing from as400 and we fixed it by getting the firmware rolled back.

Hi Christian, thanks for your reply.
I've already tried several configuration options without success.
I'm now going to try configuring this printer as a remote OUTQ.
The firewall needs to be configured first, so port 515 (LPD) is open.
regards

Hi Paul,
I'm not familiar with the Toshiba printer family - but you should start by identifying the network and emulation abilities of the printer. In my experience most network printers can act like a HP network printer (which set the standard at the time).
I've had success with defining network printers as HP compatible, with the keywords TRANSFORM(*YES) MFRTYPMDL(*HPCOLORLJ) SYSDRVPGM(*HPPJLDRV).
HTH.

Subject: Coinfigure a printer Toshiba E-studio2515AC
Hi,
I'm trying to configure a Toshiba e-Studio2515AC printer on an IBM i system running V7R5. This specific printer model is not listed on the official IBM support page for Toshiba printers: <response-element class="" ng-version="0.0.0-PLACEHOLDER"></response-element>https://www.ibm.com/support/pages/information-printers-toshiba<response-element class="" ng-version="0.0.0-PLACEHOLDER"></response-element>.
Has anyone successfully configured this particular printer model on an IBM i? I'm assuming that port 9100 is used for the connection. I also have already attempted to set it up using a remote outq. Same problem.
I have uploaded a printout of the device description.
All help is welcome.
Regards
